The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Experienced Software Engineer–Developer to support our Engineering Analytics team located in Seal Beach, California. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization.

The selected candidate will develop and maintain data analysis tools and environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in Python, CI/CD, and Kubernetes deployments with experience architecting microservices and n-tier software applications.

The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to continuously improve software solutions, ensure engineering excellence, and achieve program objectives.

Position Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications that meet industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards.
  • Review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into initial design of software products.
  • Develop, maintain, enhance, and optimize software products and functionalities for systems integrations.
  • Develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products.
  • Participate in the agile software development lifecycle including planning, reviews, and supporting customer meetings.
  • Debug and resolve issues identified to ensure reliability and efficiency of software products.
  • Handle user inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues and user feedback analysis.
  • Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes in regulations relevant to software development.
  • Develop, establish, monitor, and improve software processes, tools, and key performance metrics that align projects with organizational goals and industry benchmarks.
  • Execute and document software research and development projects.
  • Advise on software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.
  • Perform software project management activities and software supplier management functions.
  • Track and evaluate software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process compliance with project plans and industry standards.

This position requires an active TS/SCI Clearance with an adjudicated polygraph (U.S. Citizenship Required).

Required Skills
  • Active TS/SCI with adjudicated polygraph
  • 5+ years’ experience in foundational Computer Science knowledge
  • 3+ years of experience in Python scripting
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes deployments
Preferred Skills
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Experience working with transform of large quantities of timeseries data
