ABOUT THE POSITION

The Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for monitoring security tools, addressing alerts and incidents, and administering systems designed to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational systems and data. This position will assist in identity and access management strategies as well as ensuring ongoing cyber security compliance in accordance with contractual obligations.


  • Take ownership of cyber security tools by developing understanding to ensure optimal configuration.
  • Provide primary direction and technical support on cyber security solutions, including end point protection, threat detection, and response.
  • Assist in providing direction and technical support for next-generation firewall solutions.
  • Utilize cyber security tools to address alerts and incidents.
  • Utilize security tools to report on threats and vulnerabilities throughout the environment.
  • Manage user access to systems, applications, and data.
  • Conduct reporting and auditing of identity and access management.
  • Assist in the development of security policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to security best practices on all projects.
  • Maintain working knowledge on industry cybercrime trends and tactics.
  • Able to work and make decisions under general supervision.
  • Thorough understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or cyber security preferred. Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISA, or CISSP a plus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Azure/Entra, and Windows Server OS.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards such as CMMC and NIST SP 800-171.
  • Experience with or knowledge of computer networking concepts, protocols, and network security methodologies.
  • Strong desire to learn new technologies.
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal and written abilities.
  • Aptitude for developing creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Capable of working independently or in a group.
