Job description

What Your Day Will Look Like:

As a Land Development Project Manager, you'll oversee the full lifecycle of development, from early planning and duediligence through design, permitting, construction, and project closeout to ensure delivery of highquality, marketready lots. This role coordinates across engineering consultants, contractors, utility providers, and municipal agencies to secure approvals, manage budgets and schedules, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. By proactively identifying risks, driving efficient project execution, and ensuring infrastructure such as roads, utilities, grading, and amenities are delivered on time and within scope, the Land Development Project Manager plays a critical role in supporting strategic community growth and enhancing the longterm value of the residential portfolio.

What You'll Do:

Provide expertise in land development design and manage production of project deliverablesincluding plans, specifications, memoranda, and reports independently. Perform quality assurance and quality control for the following:   Site grading and earthwork analyses   Water, wastewater, and storm drainage pipe networks and profiles   Dimensioned site layouts   Street corridors   Profiles Review record drawings and incorporate into plans. Calculate and confirm slopes and inverts of storm sewer, water, and wastewater systems. Work in conjunction with CAD designers and drafters on the preliminary design of site, grading,water/wastewater, and storm layouts. Coordinate and confirm execution of redlines for modifications of plans and details in anefficient and timely manner. Manage given deadlines and prioritize assignments. Maintain file management of project files, CAD files and other documents per MEC filesstandards. Proactively coordinate with other team members and maintain communication to maximizeoverall project efficiency.

What You'll Need:

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. Minimum 10 years of land development experience. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Proficiency in AutoCad, Civil3D, etc. software. Must have a valid TX driver's license with a good driving record. Ability to generate project proposals with full scopes and fees, generate and manage projecttimelines and design teams. Experience in coordinating with CAD drafting and design teams Deep understanding of the land development planning and entitlement processes Proficient with the modeling and design of pipe networks, street corridors, lot layouts, grading,drainage, and water quality Highly technical design skills and expertise of associated design criteria. Experience in construction administration including processing of submittals, pay applications,contract closeout, etc. Proficient in software including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro or Bluebeam, etcThis hybrid job operates between an office environment and a field environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copy machines. May require occasional exposure to work environments that may include inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazard, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water, depending on project requirements.While performing the duties of this job, physical demands of the employee include frequent sitting, moving, standing, talking, hearing, and occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling. This job may occasionally require operating a company vehicle, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.
