Work Schedule: weekday, day shift

Compensation range: $99,000 to $133,000 (annually)

Position Summary

Responsible for identifying the equipment, tooling, and processes required to manufacture specialty copper and fiber optic cables. This role plans and directs process development while maintaining manufacturing specifications and standards. It also requires troubleshooting production issues across all shifts and implementing corrective actions to ensure consistent operational performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve overall process related issues.

  • Design and maintenance of tools and dies.

  • Equipment and compound troubleshooting.

  • Coordinate assigned experimental production (XP's) products.

  • Develop and maintain technical manufacturing instructions (T.M.'s).

  • Develop and maintain work instructions and procedures.

  • Coordinate and communicate critical processing information to manufacturing personnel.

  • Perform Root Cause Analysis studies and report findings on high visibility non-conformances

  • Assist as required in operator training.

  • Coordinate the process manufacture of assigned technical orders.

  • Coordinate assigned capital appropriation (CA) projects.

  • Provide accurate and timely responses to corrective action request.

  • Provide input as required to effect accurate product costing.

  • Maintain liaison with vendors to keep abreast of current materials and processes.

Knowledge and skill requirements:

  • Education Required: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering

  • Minimum of 3 years of Experience in Manufacturing or Process Engineering, with preference given to those who have worked specifically in Process Engineering within the Wire and Cable industry.

  • Must be able to accurately distinguish colors.

  • Computer Skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Minitab.

  • Strong communication skills required; Portuguese language ability is considered an asset.

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
