Job description

Function

Test raw and process related materials for conformance (enamels, polymers, drawing lubricants, wash water, lube extractions, etc.). Assist in testing new product development samples. Assist R&D Engineers in product and test development activities (test method development, documentation, experiment execution). Maintain and calibrate test equipment. Maintain a clean and organized lab.

Required:

Ability to conduct all conformance testing of Level 4 Process Quality Technician, e.g. laser mike, dialectric tester, dissipation pot, Tg tester, Tinius Olsen, manual elongator, techrand tester and other equipment.

Understand chemical safety and handling.

Meet or exceed performance metrics as defined by department supervisor and/or manager.

Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)

Ability to work with all levels of people in achievement of technology objectives

Understanding of key problem-solving techniques.

Ability to collect and organize data.


Preferred:

Knowledge of oven enamel process.

Experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment.

Experience or some education in Chemistry (associates).

Understanding of basic IATF requirements and Automotive requirements.
