Job description

Sandis is currently looking for a Design Engineer to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. Our ideal candidate is located in the Salt Lake City Metropolitan area with experience in civil design, permitting, and applicable software applications including storm drainage programs and AutoCAD. Cool Stuff you get to do:

  • Assist with developing improvement plans including rough/finish grading, stormwater management, and utility plans.
  • Design of utility systems including water, sanitary, and storm drain.
  • Assist with fire flow tests.
  • Interact with other members of a design team including Architects, Landscape Architects, and MEP Engineers.
  • Engineering support during construction, including review of material submittals, answering Requests for Information (RFIs), site observations among other things.
  • Conduct engineering assessments.
  • Prepare technical engineering reports.
  • Coordinate with private, public, and governmental agencies.

What will help you be successful:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • EIT Certification Preferred
  • Working Knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Familiarity and understanding of rough and precise grading and utility plans.
  • Knowledge of sanitary sewer systems including lift stations
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
