Job Summary
The Career Development Assistant advances the Stamps School's mission by supporting the Jain Industry Partnerships (JIP) program and high-impact day-to-day career development offerings for Stamps undergraduate students. You will be responsible for operations and student communications for career initiatives. These include the Stamps job/ internship postings, JIP program implementation, internship administrative processes, creation of career resources, and implementation of important career events and programming.
You will report to the Associate Director for Career Development.
You will work a full-time role with a hybrid schedule with in person work on the Ann Arbor campus.
Please Note: This role has a 3-year term limit with potential for renewal.
Responsibilities*
Jain Industry Partnerships program (60%)
  • Support the annual student recruitment, review, and selection process for the program.
  • Support the mentorship process, including recruitment, matching, and mentoring resources.
  • Help with industry partner recruitment, onboarding, and stewardship.
  • Facilitate program logistics, including workshop preparation and programming related to partner lunches, assist with hosting-responsibilities, and provide on-site support.
  • Communicate with students, industry partners, and mentors throughout the program to support participation, clarify expectations, manage schedules, support preparation, and ensure completion.

Career Development (40%)
  • Implement key career programming and events (e.g., workshops, panels, studio-to-industry programming, employer engagement activities), including planning, coordination, assessment, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the internship administrative process, ensuring accurate tracking, submissions, deadlines, and clear guidance for students.
  • Maintain the Stamps Friday Career email and the career intranet content to ensure accurate information and easy access.

Required Qualifications*
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of experience supporting educational programs or organizations
  • Demonstrated experience supporting programs, events, workshops, or meetings, including logistics, scheduling, communications, recordkeeping, and day-of coordination.
  • Experience with common office and collaboration tools such as email, shared calendars, spreadsheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or similar systems.

Modes of Work
