Job Description
The Product Officer will participate in the research, development and launch of new products to increase market share and to help grow revenue contribution to the client's product portfolio. He / she will be responsible to research market trends, new technologies and competitive offers. Provide input for the design, financial feasibility and operational impact of product offerings. The individual will be responsible for managing products through its life cycle and for working as an integral part of the Product Management team to prioritize bank and customer needs.
  • Manage and development of products and its life cycle
  • Manage product vendor relationships
  • Independently research market trends, new technologies and competitive offers
  • Provide support to other Product Officers and Product Managers
  • Participate in the design, financial feasibility and operational impacts of a product offering
  • Partner with Strategic Planning & Market Analyst Officer and Marketing Department to develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates products in the market
  • Support the development and implementation of a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of policy language in partnership with Operations, Compliance. BSA and Audit
  • Work with business partners to identify and address issues
  • Plays a role in idea generation for new products
  • Assist with coordinating and organizing projects
  • Provide support and product training to frontline employees
  • Be able to perform other functions, as needed

Qualifications
Education: College degree with major in finance, marketing, or business related discipline preferred.
Experience: Minimum of three years banking experience, of which two years in Marketing and/or Product Development
Skills/Ability: Excellent interpersonal, professional, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong software knowledge (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Good analytical and research ability. Organized with good prioritizing skills. High attention to details. Good time management and able to manage multiple objectives at one time.
