Job description

Overview

St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center is New York State's only specialty designated cardiac center. A member of Catholic Health, St. Francis is consistently recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a national leader for Cardiology & Heart Surgery, as well as for Gastroenterology & GI Surgery. Additionally, U.S. News rates St. Francis as high performing in Geriatrics, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, and Pulmonology. Responsibilities

We are looking for a Full time Research Analyst to join our team!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clinical staff with the design of clinical/population health research studies
  • Assist with data collection, organization, cleaning, and database maintenance
  • Perform literature reviews
  • Perform statistical analyses of datasets including descriptive analyses, survival analyses, predictive modeling, appropriate handling of missing data, other appropriate estimation of associations as needed
  • Assist in the drafting of deliverables including scientific manuscripts, conference abstracts/presentations, and other presentations to clinical stakeholders
  •  Mentor identified staff as requested

Education requirements:

  • Master's degree in Epidemiology or Biostatistics (MPH, MSPH, MS) from a ASPH-accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of experience beyond graduate training, new graduates encouraged to apply
  • Competence with statistical programming software (SAS or R preferred)
  • Familiarity with clinical and/or population health research
  • Familiarity with basic concepts of cardiovascular disease preferred
  • Familiarity with recently developed epidemiological and statistical methods including causal inference and machine learning preferred
  • Ability to work independently unsupervised and as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate difficult scientific concepts effectively to multiple audiences including physicians, engineers, other scientists, and the general public
Pay RangeUSD $26.92 - USD $32.30 /Hr.Qualifications

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and position location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
