Compensation: $50–$200/hour (based on Analyst Rating Score, credentials, and approvals)

We support investors, fund managers, operators, and research-driven capital allocators across private markets by combining deal flow, analyst services, investor relations, training, and placement into a single platform.

Our mission is to promote credibility, access, and real earning potential for serious investment research and private capital professionals. Once verified, analysts are activated immediately—contributing to live investment research and paid analytical engagements across our network.

Initio Sphere is seeking qualified finance professionals to join the platform as Investment Research Analysts.

This is not a traditional employment role. Investment Research Analysts operate as independent contractors, activated through Initio Sphere’s certification, verification, and approval process.

Once approved, Investment Research Analysts:

• Are promoted within the Initio Sphere platform and research network

• Gain access to live investment research assignments and paid analytical work

• Support investors and fund managers through rigorous research and analysis

• Build a verified research and deal contribution record with a proprietary Analyst Rating Score

Certification tiers include:
Analyst / Associate Analyst · Lead Analyst · Senior Analyst

• Rating Score: 90–100

• Pay: $150–$200/hour

• Typical Background: Former investment banking, buy-side or sell-side research, private equity, venture capital, or senior consulting professionals with 5+ years of research or transaction experience

• Rating Score: 80–89

• Pay: $100–$150/hour

• Typical Background: Finance professionals with 3–5 years of investment research, modeling, or valuation experience

• Rating Score: 60–79

• Pay: $50–$100/hour

• Typical Background: Entry- to mid-level analysts with strong analytical, research, and financial modeling skills

Investment Research Analysts are engaged based on category-specific approvals, earned through assessment and demonstrated performance. Approved responsibilities may include:

• Fundamental company and industry research

• Market sizing, competitive landscape, and trend analysis

• Investment thesis development and validation

• Sector and thematic research across private markets

• Three-statement and forecast modeling

• Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) and transaction modeling

• Sensitivity, scenario, and downside case analysis

• Comparable company and precedent transaction analysis

• Football-field valuation summaries

• Financial, commercial, and operational diligence support

• Quality of Earnings (QoE) analysis assistance

• Risk assessment and downside analysis

• Investment memo, research report, and committee materials support

Analysts may only perform work within categories they are formally approved for. Approvals are based on demonstrated capability and performance—not tenure.

1. Complete the Analyst Certification Assessment or approved Initio Sphere training

2. Receive category-specific approvals (Research, Modeling, Valuation, Due Diligence)

3. Complete verification and onboarding

4. Begin earning immediately through hourly research engagements and live investment projects

No cold applications. No unpaid trial work.
Verified analysts are actively promoted to investors, funds, and deal sponsors seeking research support.

To qualify, candidates must meet at least one of the following:

• Score ≥70% in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment

• Completion of Initio Sphere Financial Training

• Active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)

Each Investment Research Analyst receives a 0–100 Analyst Rating Score, which determines:

• Platform visibility and promotion priority

• Approved research and analytical work categories

• Recommended hourly compensation range

• Analysts operate as independent contractors, not employees

• Hourly rates are determined by Rating Score and approval tier

• Analysts may earn up to 10% of the first $100,000 in transaction fees

• Maximum deal-based earning: $2,500 per transaction

• Payments are issued only after successful project or transaction completion and fee collection

• Initio Sphere reserves the right to revoke approvals for quality, performance, or compliance issues

Investment Research Analysts do not:

• Provide investment advice

• Solicit securities

• Represent Initio Sphere in a regulated or broker-dealer capacity

All work is strictly limited to research, analytical, diligence, and financial support functions and must comply with applicable securities laws and regulations.
