As a Data Analyst Intern you will be using tools such as Microsoft Excel and SAS to identify, design, recommend, and execute solutions to clients. You will work with a team and alongside actuaries contributing to client and business analytics projects, primarily related to Medicaid Managed Care rate-setting. - Assist in development of client deliverables including written documents.
- Manage timelines including completion of client deliverables (Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, etc.).
- Ensure all work products are technically peer reviewed and submitted for consulting review.
- Actively communicate project status updates with internal team (junior and senior members).
- Help support client teams with a combination of raw data analysis and aggregation to support external reporting.
- Display initiative in research beyond the specific assignment.
- Load, process, and analyze health care enrollment and claims / encounter data to support a variety of health care consulting projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cumulative GPA of 3.25 strongly preferred
- Interest in healthcare finance and policy
- Exposure to data analytical tools (Excel, Tableau, SAS, SQL, WPS, Python) is preferred
