  • We are hiring immediately for a SHIFT SUPERVISOR (RES DINING) (FULL TIME) position.
  • Address: Shenkman Hall at GWU 1918 F Street, NW, Washington, DC 20052 Note: online applications accepted only.
  • Schedule: Full Time; Shifts vay with needs of business, more details in interview! Open availability preferred. 
  • Requirement: Prior experience in hospitality and food service, and operations and staff supervisory roles. 
    • NOTE: This role offers a Pre-Recorded Interview option upon application. Though not required, choosing to submit will allow the hiring team to prioritize your application given the high-volume of interest in this position. The Pre-Recorded interview includes four questions to introduce yourself prior to a formal interview with the hiring manager. Job Summary

Summary:   Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.  
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing training and creating work schedules.
  • Evaluating the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
  • Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
  • Acts as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
  • May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
