About the Role:

As a Sr. Business Analyst within the Intelligent Automation team, you will support the analysis, documentation, and delivery of business requirements for automation initiatives across the organization. This role will partner with business stakeholders, process owners, and technology teams to understand current-state processes, identify improvement opportunities, and translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements.

The Sr. Business Analyst will contribute to the full requirements lifecycle, including elicitation, documentation, validation, prioritization, and change support. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and process improvement skills, with a working understanding of intelligent automation concepts and technologies. The position will help ensure automation solutions are aligned with business objectives, operational needs, and governance standards while supporting the successful adoption of automation capabilities.

Responsibilities of the Role:
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for intelligent automation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, process owners, and technical teams to understand automation opportunities and define clear requirements.
  • Support the requirements life cycle, including requirements gathering, validation, prioritization, traceability, and change management.
  • Analyze and map current-state business processes and assist in defining future-state processes optimized for automation.
  • Facilitate working sessions, interviews, and requirements discussions with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Partner with solution architects, developers, automation engineers, and QA teams to ensure business requirements are accurately understood and translated into solution designs.
  • Develop process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, and functional documentation to support automation delivery.
  • Assist in preparing business cases, impact assessments, and cost-benefit inputs to support automation project prioritization.
  • Support testing activities by helping define test scenarios, validate outcomes, and coordinate business user feedback.
  • Help ensure automation initiatives are aligned with organizational goals, compliance requirements, and governance frameworks.
  • Monitor implemented automation solutions and gather stakeholder feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed on business analysis practices, process improvement methods, and intelligent automation technologies.
  • Support change management activities, including communication materials, training documentation, and user readiness content.
Work Experience & Knowledge
  • Relevant Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of progressive experience in business analysis, process improvement, technology delivery, or related roles.
  • Automation Exposure: Experience supporting automation, digital transformation, business process improvement, or technology-enabled operational initiatives.
  • Business Process Analysis: Experience documenting current-state and future-state processes, identifying gaps, and recommending improvements.
  • Requirements Management: Strong experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, validating, and managing business requirements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work with business users, process owners, IT teams, and project stakeholders to define and deliver business solutions.
  • Intelligent Automation Knowledge: Working knowledge of automation technologies such as RPA, workflow automation, AI-enabled solutions, or process automation platforms. Familiarity with tools such as Blue Prism, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Agile Delivery: Experience working in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid delivery environments.
  • Documentation: Experience creating user stories, process maps, business requirements documents, functional specifications, test scenarios, and operational support materials.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex business issues into clear requirements and practical solutions.
  • Change Support: Experience supporting user adoption, training materials, communication plans, or change readiness activities is preferred.
Requirements of the Role:
  • Business Analysis: Strong skills in requirements elicitation, documentation, validation, prioritization, and traceability.
  • Process Mapping & Improvement: Ability to analyze, model, and improve business processes using tools such as Visio, BPMN, Lucid chart, or similar tools.
  • Intelligent Automation Awareness: Working understanding of RPA, workflow automation, AI-enabled automation, and related technology concepts.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across business and technology teams.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret business needs, identify root causes, and translate findings into clear requirements.
  • Agile Practices: Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting backlog refinement, sprint planning, and delivery ceremonies.
  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with SDLC concepts, integration, data flows, APIs, and automation solution delivery.
  • Documentation & Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create clear requirements, process flows, and presentation materials.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work independently while partnering closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Continuous Improvement: Interest in improving business processes, increasing operational efficiency, and supporting automation maturity.
  • Tools Proficiency: Experience with business analysis and project delivery tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and automation-related platforms.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is typically required.
  • Professional certifications in business analysis such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Training or certification related to intelligent automation technologies, Agile methodologies, or project management is a plus.
  • Experience may be considered in lieu of specific certifications where applicable.
