What is a reputation manager?

Reputation managers are professionals who help individuals or organizations maintain, improve, and protect their public image, especially online. Their main tasks include monitoring media coverage, responding to negative reviews or comments, and promoting positive content to shape public perception. They often work with businesses, celebrities, and anyone concerned about their digital footprint. Reputation managers use various strategies, such as search engine optimization (SEO), public relations campaigns, and crisis management to influence public opinion. Their goal is to ensure that their clients are seen in the best possible light by audiences and stakeholders.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a reputation manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Reputation Manager, you need expertise in public relations, crisis management, and digital communications, often supported by a degree in communications, marketing, or a related field. Familiarity with social media monitoring tools, SEO strategies, and online analytics platforms is essential for tracking and shaping public perception. Strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to remain calm under pressure help you effectively manage sensitive issues and build positive stakeholder relationships. These skills are crucial for proactively protecting and enhancing an organization's brand image in today's fast-paced digital environment.

What are common challenges faced by reputation managers when working with cross-functional teams?

Reputation managers often collaborate with marketing, PR, customer service, and legal teams to ensure consistent messaging and mitigate potential risks. A common challenge is aligning the priorities and communication styles of different departments, especially during a crisis or when responding to negative publicity. Reputation managers must be proactive in fostering clear communication, setting shared goals, and quickly coordinating responses. Building strong relationships across teams can help streamline processes and improve overall brand perception.

Job description

Design Consultant / In-Home Sales Consultant
Do you have the drive to compete, the confidence to build trust, and the determination to succeed? Are you looking for more than just another sales job?
Elegant Bath and Remodel is one of Arizona's highest-rated and fastest-growing bathroom remodeling companies, and we're looking for motivated, coachable, and ambitious individuals with the sales DNA to build a rewarding six-figure career.
You don't need bathroom remodeling experience—we'll teach you the products, design, and our proven sales process. What you do need is the ability to connect with people, ask great questions, uncover customer needs, communicate value, overcome objections, and confidently ask for the sale.
Whether your background is in sales, hospitality, customer service, retail, athletics, entrepreneurship, or another performance-driven environment, we're far more interested in your character, competitiveness, work ethic, and coachability than your industry experience.
Our proven in-home sales system, industry-leading training, strong reputation, and steady flow of qualified homeowner appointments provide the opportunity to build a rewarding career with uncapped earning potential.
Why Join Elegant Bath and Remodel?
  • Join one of Arizona's highest-rated and fastest-growing bathroom remodeling companies. We've built our reputation on exceptional craftsmanship, outstanding customer service, and delivering an experience homeowners rave about.
  • Uncapped earning potential. Your income is determined by your effort, your sales ability, and your results—not by a compensation ceiling.
  • Strong earning opportunity. Top performers have the opportunity to build a six-figure career with our proven sales process and steady flow of qualified homeowner appointments.
  • A premium product you can believe in. Our reputation, quality craftsmanship, and customer-first approach make it easier to earn trust and close business.
  • An elite installation team. Our installers consistently deliver exceptional work, giving you confidence that every project reflects the promises you made during the sales process.
  • An outstanding reputation. Our exceptional Google reviews and satisfied customers generate referrals and help create credibility with every homeowner you meet.
  • The opportunity to make an impact. We encourage ideas, value initiative, and give employees the chance to leave their fingerprints on a growing company.
  • Industry-leading sales training, coaching, and professional development. We hire great people and invest in helping them become exceptional sales professionals.
  • Advancement opportunities. As we continue to grow, there will be opportunities for increased responsibility and leadership.
  • A family-owned company that truly values its employees. We believe in treating people with respect, recognizing success, and creating an environment where great people enjoy coming to work.
  • Company-provided technology including a laptop and tablet so you have the tools you need to succeed.
  • Healthcare benefits and a 401(k).

What You'll Do
Every day you'll meet with homeowners who have requested an appointment to discuss transforming their bathroom. Your role is to understand their goals, develop the right solution, and confidently guide them through the buying decision.
Responsibilities include:
  • Conduct in-home bathroom remodeling consultations with qualified homeowners.
  • Build trust quickly by understanding each customer's goals, lifestyle, design preferences, and budget.
  • Design remodeling solutions that deliver exceptional value while maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • Present proposals using our proven in-home sales process.
  • Confidently ask for the sale, overcome objections, and close business with integrity.
  • Take ownership of your sales pipeline by following up consistently and ensuring every qualified opportunity receives exceptional service.
  • Manage the customer relationship from the initial consultation through project kickoff, ensuring a seamless handoff to our production team.
  • Partner with our production and installation teams to deliver a five-star customer experience.
  • Generate referrals, repeat business, and outstanding online reviews through exceptional customer service.
  • Maximize company-provided appointments while actively networking, building referral partners, and generating additional sales opportunities.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed individual sales goals while contributing to the success of the entire team.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate:
  • Has a strong desire to build a six-figure career through performance.
  • Is competitive, self-motivated, and driven to exceed goals.
  • Thrives in a performance-based environment where effort and results are rewarded.
  • Builds trust and credibility quickly with homeowners.
  • Listens first, asks thoughtful questions, and uncovers each customer's true needs.
  • Is comfortable presenting premium solutions, discussing significant investments, and confidently overcoming objections.
  • Has the confidence to ask for the sale and the persistence to follow up until every opportunity is fully developed.
  • Takes ownership of results and holds themselves accountable for their success.
  • Is highly organized and able to manage multiple customers and projects simultaneously.
  • Embraces coaching, continually works to improve, and welcomes feedback.
  • Is comfortable using technology, CRM software, and digital sales tools.
  • Can work evenings and some weekends to accommodate homeowner schedules.
  • Wants to build a long-term career with a company that is committed to growth and excellence.
Previous remodeling or in-home sales experience is helpful, but it's not required. We're far more interested in your drive, work ethic, competitiveness, coachability, and sales DNA than where you've worked. If you know how to build trust, communicate confidently, solve problems, and are motivated to succeed, we'll teach you everything you need to know about bathroom remodeling.
Compensation
Your income is directly tied to your effort and success.
  • Average Design Consultant: $80,000+ annually
  • High-performing Design Consultant: $100,000–$150,000+ annually
  • Top performers have the opportunity to earn well into six figures.
