Planned Parenthood Arizona (PPAZ) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Staff Physician to join our dedicated clinical team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered reproductive health care โ€” including abortion services up to 18 weeks โ€” and play a key part in advancing equitable access to care in communities across the state.

Why Join Us?

At PPAZ, we believe everyone deserves the right to make informed choices about their health and future. As a Staff Physician, youโ€™ll have the opportunity to:

  • Represent Planned Parenthood at conferences, educational forums, and in media opportunities.

This is more than a job โ€” itโ€™s a chance to be part of a mission-driven organization that champions reproductive freedom, health equity, and patient dignity.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Provide a full range of reproductive health services, including contraception counseling, STI testing/treatment, annual exams, and pregnancy-related care.
  • Perform in-clinic surgical and medication abortion up to 18 weeks gestation.
  • Support patients with unbiased information on abortion, adoption, and parenting.
  • Ensure compliance with medical standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality assurance, research initiatives, and educational programs.
  • Serve as a trusted consultant to clinicians and staff across multiple health centers.

What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in an appropriate specialty.
  • Arizona Medical License (or ability to obtain) and active DEA license.
  • Experience in GYN/womenโ€™s health and proficiency in abortion care up to 18 weeks.
  • BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive care.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.

Additional Details

  • Location: Tempe Health Center (home base, float to multiple sites)
  • Schedule: Full-time, hourly; must be available for after-hours call coverage as scheduled
  • Travel: Required between health centers within the state
  • Reports to: Medical Director
  • Compensation: we offer competitive compensation based on years of experience and education background. Please note: this position is paid at an hourly rate. The range for this position is: $118.00/hour โ€“ $139.00/hour.
