Job Summary:
AeroVironment (AV) is a global leader in unmanned aircraft systems and tactical missile systems. We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Tester / QA Analyst to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products by developing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating closely with development teams.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze software requirements and technical specifications to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Execute manual and automated tests to verify functionality, performance, and security.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using tracking tools.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers to reproduce issues, discuss solutions, and verify fixes.
• Perform regression, system, integration, and acceptance testing on new and existing code.
• Assist in maintaining and improving test automation frameworks (if applicable).
• Generate and communicate detailed test results, status reports, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and help foster a culture of quality within the engineering team.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Familiarity with software testing methodologies and defect tracking systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
• An active TS/SCI with polygraph
