Job description

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility in El Paso, TX 79912. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (Possibility of conversion or extension) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Details:

  • Location: El Paso, TX 79912
  • Job Type: 3+ months (Possibility of extension or conversion )
  • Schedule: - 8am-5pm (Mon - Fri)
  • Pay Range: $21/hr - $23.40/hr on W2

Specific Duties:

  • Demonstrate understanding of relevant medical procedures (e.g., how to assess patient vital signs; how to analyze EKG tracing)
  • Demonstrate understanding of medical terminology, precautions, and exposure risks (e.g., bloodborne pathogens)
  • Demonstrate understanding of relevant state and/or federal policies, regulations (e.g., HIPAA), and scope of practice
  • Demonstrate understanding of internal company/department-specific protocols, procedures, policies, and workflows
  • Demonstrate understanding of relevant computer systems (e.g., scheduling; practice management; records management; claims/billing)
  • Translate/communicate medical terminology/information to customers in a manner that is clear, concise, and understandable
  • Assess customer/patient understanding (e.g., ask questions) in order to determine what clinical services information (e.g., medical; dietary; transportation) to communicate

Must have qualifications/experience:

  • Medical Assistant Certification
  • BLS/CPR
  • Customer Service Skills
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
