Job description

Job Description

As a Civil Engineer at Atwell, your role will be dynamic and multifaceted, including the opportunity to become a subject matter expert in residential, commercial, and/or industrial land development!

  • Site Plan Excellence: You'll be responsible for drafting preliminary and final site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, ensuring precision and adherence to industry standards.
  • Data Analysis: Dive into project survey data to assess existing site conditions, considering various factors, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
  • Comprehensive Reporting: Prepare a variety of reports, opinions, and recommendations crucial for project direction. This may include hydrology/hydraulic studies, due diligence/site analysis reports, engineer's opinion of probable costs, project schedules, utility computations, detention/retention computations, storm sewer reports, local and state permit applications, stormwater reports, soils reports, earthwork volume calculations, StormCAD reports, WaterCAD reports, and preliminary grading.
  • Construction Support: Offer valuable construction-related services, such as permit applications, cut sheets, quantity estimates, and transmittals. Organize site plans, construction plans, and construction documents under the guidance of Senior staff.
  • Engineering Software Mastery: Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software packages to complete assignments efficiently, ensuring they align with established standards.
  • Effective Communication: Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills when collaborating with current staff members, ensuring seamless project coordination.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience
  • EIT preferred
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D, WaterCAD, StormCAD, and SewerCAD preferred
