Key responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Reporting Solutions team, including managing team priorities, coaching, and supporting career development.

  • Set the strategy and roadmap for reporting solutions, focusing on standardization, scalability, and innovation.

  • Partner with clients and internal teams to translate business questions into reporting and analytics experiences.

Job description

The Role

As Associate Director, Reporting Solutions, you will lead the team responsible for transforming Wpromote's marketing data into reporting products and analytics experiences that help clients understand performance, uncover insights, and make better decisions.

You will directly manage the Reporting Solutions team and be responsible for the teamโ€™s strategy, prioritization, development, and quality of work. You will partner closely with Data Engineering, Product, Analytics, Media, and client teams to ensure our reporting solutions are supported by reliable data and designed around meaningful business questions.

A major focus of this role will be evolving Wpromote from primarily building individual client dashboards toward scalable reporting products and experiences that can be standardized and reused across clients and strategic verticals such as B2B, Retail Media, and others. This builds on the Reporting Solutions team's existing responsibility for scalable self-service reporting and end-to-end reporting product development.

You will also help define the next generation of reporting at Wpromote - determining when traditional BI is the right solution and where interactive applications, self-service analytics, AI-enabled experiences, and other emerging approaches can provide a better client experience.

Ultimately, you will lead the team responsible for evolving Wpromote from building dashboards to building modern reporting products and analytics experiences.

At Wpromote, we believe that great work is only possible with great people. Our goal is to build a better, more inclusive work environment and support our people at every stage of their careers by prioritizing a strong work-life balance through our policies and benefits listed below. As a Best Place to Work according to both Ad Age and Glassdoor and Adweek's Fastest Growing Digital Agency, we are moving fast to expand our teams and bring new experts into the fold to keep pushing the boundaries of what's possible in marketing.

We offer:

  • Remote-first culture
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Extended Holiday break (Winter)
  • Flexible schedules
  • Work from anywhere options*
  • 100% paid parental leave
  • 401(k) matching
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Pet Insurance
  • Sponsored life insurance
  • Short Term Disability insurance and additional voluntary insurance
  • Annual Class Pass credits and more!

The anticipated annual salary for this role will range from $120,000 - $145,000, based on consideration of a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, education and certifications, competitive benchmarks, scope of responsibility, market dynamics, geographic location, and respective stateโ€™s salary threshold for exempt employees. The total compensation package for this role will include benefits (listed above).

*This position may be performed remotely in most states within the US, with some exclusions

**While this role offers the flexibility to work remotely, we have office hubs in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, where you can join in on learning and development opportunities, fun events, take advantage of a space to work, and collaborate in person!

***This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship

You Will Be
  • Leading and developing the Reporting Solutions team, including managing a team of approximately three employees, setting priorities, providing coaching and feedback, supporting career development, and creating clear ownership across the team.
  • Setting the strategy and roadmap for Reporting Solutions, balancing immediate client needs with longer-term investments in standardization, scalability, and innovation.
  • Establishing a product-oriented approach to reporting, using client feedback, business needs, usage patterns, and emerging technologies to determine what the team builds and how solutions evolve over time.
  • Partnering with clients and internal stakeholders to translate complex marketing and business questions into intuitive, actionable reporting and analytics experiences.
  • Defining reporting patterns across clients and verticals, determining which capabilities should be standardized across Wpromote, configurable for specific verticals, or intentionally customized for individual clients.
  • Guiding the development of reusable reporting capabilities for strategic verticals such as B2B, Retail Media, and other emerging areas of the business.
  • Partnering closely with Data Engineering and Product to define the data models, metrics, dimensions, quality requirements, and platform capabilities necessary to support scalable reporting products.
  • Establishing and maintaining standards around reporting quality, visualization, UX, performance, documentation, and QA, while ensuring consistent adoption across the team.
  • Providing technical and strategic guidance on complex reporting initiatives while reviewing solutions and helping the team navigate difficult product, data, and visualization decisions.
  • Evolving reporting beyond traditional dashboards by evaluating interactive applications, self-service analytics, AI-enabled reporting, conversational analytics, and other emerging approaches where they provide a better solution to the clientโ€™s business problem.
  • Measuring the effectiveness of reporting solutions through adoption, usability, stakeholder feedback, and business value, using those signals to continuously improve our reporting products.
  • Managing competing priorities across clients, internal stakeholders, and strategic initiatives while ensuring the team consistently delivers high-quality work.
You Must Have
  • 7+ years of experience in business intelligence, reporting solutions, marketing analytics, data visualization, or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of people management experience, including responsibility for coaching, performance management, prioritization, and career development.
  • Experience within an advertising agency, consulting organization, or other multi-client environment, with demonstrated ability to manage competing client priorities and stakeholder expectations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the design and delivery of client-facing reporting and analytics solutions from requirements through production and ongoing iteration.
  • Strong experience across modern business intelligence and data visualization platforms such as Looker, Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization, information architecture, UX, and data storytelling, with the ability to guide teams toward reporting experiences that clearly communicate performance and actionable insights.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL, analytical data models, metrics, and dimensions, with the technical depth to review reporting solutions and partner effectively with Data Engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying opportunities to standardize and scale reporting solutions rather than solving every requirement through bespoke development.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and measurement, including common KPIs, media channels, attribution considerations, and differences in reporting needs across clients and business models.
  • Experience working with marketing and advertising data from platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft, The Trade Desk, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar platforms.
  • Strong client-facing and executive communication skills, including the ability to gather ambiguous requirements, challenge assumptions, explain tradeoffs, and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience leading complex initiatives across Product, Engineering, Analytics, Media, and client-facing teams.
Nice to Have
  • Experience developing reporting or measurement solutions for specialized verticals such as B2B, Retail Media, ecommerce, lead generation, or other complex measurement environments.
  • Experience with modern web-based analytics applications or embedded analytics, including technologies such as React, Next.js, Vercel, Streamlit, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience designing or implementing AI-enabled analytics experiences, including conversational analytics, natural-language data exploration, automated insights, or agentic reporting workflows.
  • Experience using AI-assisted software engineering tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, OpenCode, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with BigQuery, dbt, semantic layers, metrics layers, or modern analytics engineering practices.
  • Experience defining reporting product roadmaps, reusable design systems, component libraries, or standardized reporting frameworks.
  • Experience with product development practices such as user research, prototyping, user stories, requirements documentation, usability testing, and iterative product development.
What Success Looks Like

Success in this role will center around three areas:

Team: You will build and develop a high-performance Reporting Solutions team with clear ownership, strong standards, and the skills necessary to deliver both immediate client solutions and longer-term reporting products.

Scale: You will help move recurring client reporting needs away from repeated bespoke development and toward reusable capabilities that can scale across clients and verticals such as B2B and Retail Media.
