Job description

AVP, Reporting & Analysis
A leading financial services organization is seeking an experienced Reporting & Analysis professional to support enterprise-wide reporting, data analysis, and reporting strategy.
This role will oversee a broad portfolio of operational, financial, and compliance reporting while partnering with business and technology teams to improve data quality, reporting processes, and analytics capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring strong SQL and analytical skills, experience working with large datasets, and the ability to lead reporting initiatives and projects.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and improve enterprise reporting frameworks, processes, and standards.
  • Develop and maintain operational, financial, compliance, and business reporting.
  • Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries and data extracts.
  • Validate, reconcile, and document data, reporting processes, and methodologies.
  • Partner with business and technology teams to gather requirements and ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Lead implementation of reporting and analytics solutions, including tools such as Power BI.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and standardize reporting processes.
  • Support regulatory, audit, and external reporting requirements.
  • Monitor data quality and reporting exceptions.
  • Mentor junior analysts and potentially oversee contract resources as the function grows.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on SQL and data analysis experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with large datasets and enterprise reporting environments.
  • Financial services or mortgage industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with regulatory reporting, data governance, or compliance is a plus.
  • Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence/analytics platforms preferred.
  • Project leadership or team/contractor management experience is a plus.

Compensation: $100,000 to $160,000 annually
Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
