Job description

As an experienced Conventional Machinist with 10+ years of hands-on expertise, you’ll work independently while collaborating closely with our engineering team. Your skills in crafting and repairing aircraft components using manual lathes and milling machines will be highly valued.

You take pride in mentoring others, solving complex problems, and turning raw materials into precision parts. We’re a privately owned company that values people — if you’re ready to leave behind the corporate environment and/or corporate take overs where you’re just a number, you won't find that with us.

Repairtech International, Inc, an FAA state of the art repair station providing expertise to clients around the world utilizing our expertise in repair design development for mechanical repairs to aircraft parts for commercial and military aviation industries. We are low production however attention to detail and the ability to cross train is definitely a requirement.

Responsibilities:

  • Machining various steel and aluminum aircraft parts on manual lathes, mills, ID/OD grinders, and other machining equipment.
  • Holding tight tolerances (+/- .0005).
  • Low production, prototype environment, attention to details.
  • Reading shop routings / travelers.
  • Reading engineering drawings.

Required Skills:

  • 5 years experience on manual machining equipment.
  • Proficient on manual lathes and manual mills.
  • Holding tight tolerances (+/- .0005).
  • Skilled with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Effectively communicate in English, written and verbal skills.
  • Flexible and eager to learn.

Additional Skills for further consideration a plus:
Candidates with manual grinding equipment (ID/OD) grinders will be considered first.
