Position Summary
Candidate will operate various CNC and manual machines to carry out repair processes on Jet Engine Aerospace parts, or create Tooling, from sketches, drawings, and work instructions given by engineers or supervisor. Candidates may also run production on various CNC machines. Candidates with the desired experience and/or skills will be provided additional training on specific machines for this career opportunity.
Reports To: ARM Supervisor
Work Location: 6401 North Eldridge Pkwy, Houston, TX 77041
Position Responsibilities
  • Proficient in the use of set up tools i.e., edge finders, indicators, dial gauges
  • Perform Set-ups per written or verbal instructions on various manual and CNC machines.
  • Utilize measuring equipment in support of quality requirements
  • Review and interpret complex work instructions, processes, and blueprints, ask clarifying questions
  • Plan, Coordinate, and Carry out simple to complex projects, dependent on skills set, from start to finish
  • Maintain machine and operator conformance of production parts.
  • Communicate discrepancies and non-conformances to immediate lead
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma and two-year technical trade degree or completion of a machinist apprenticeship program. On Job Training (OJT) is acceptable as well, with the applicant able to discuss / demonstrate what skills he / she has acquired.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check.
