Job description

Overview
The Pictsweet Company is growing! Responsible for driving powered industrial truck equipment with lifting devices such as forklift and push/pull to support repack production and warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
  • Check equipment on a daily basis, and report all unserviceable equipment to the Warehouse Lead, Shift Supervisor, Warehouse Manager, or Maintenance.
  • Ensure all paperwork is filled out neatly
  • Pull and return all finished case & bulk product to designated location in the freezer in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Note and remove any damaged product.
  • Weigh material and product according to standard operating procedures.
  • Properly load and unload trucks and railcars according to standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain the warehouse, docks, repack, and plant grounds in a neat and orderly manner by sweeping, picking up wrap, broken boards, slip sheets, and other trash.
  • Keep stacks of pallets neat and orderly.
  • Change out batteries and ensure that batteries are properly charged and handled with proper PPE.
  • Assist in the cleanup of spilled bulk and case product in the freezers.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
  • Follow all Company policies and procedures, which include SOP's, Employee Handbook, Food Safety and Quality Procedures, Food Quality Policies, GMP Handbook, HACCP, and Pictsweet Safety Procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • 6+ months of experience on a stand-up forklift
  • Must be able to communicate verbally with management and truck drivers, as well as fill out required paperwork in English.
  • Move products or materials by pushing, pulling, lifting and stacking.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Work effectively in very cold, wet, loud environment for up to 10 hours in a stand up position
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Regularly stand, climb, walk, squat, kneel, crouch and crawl.
  • Visual acuity to determine accuracy, neatness, and quality of assigned work
  • Move products or materials by pushing, pulling, lifting and stacking.
  • Climb and descend steep stairs.
  • Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequent repetitive motion involving wrists, hands, fingers, and shoulders.
  • Consistent repetitive motion involving wrists, hands, fingers, and shoulders.
