Job description

Summary: To sort and repackage damaged product to saleable goods meeting supplier quality standards and perform essential housekeeping duties by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform housekeeping and sanitation duties throughout the warehouse.
  • Reads shipping order to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Sort product by supplier code dates.
  • Repackage product following supplier quality standards.
  • Band pallets and cardboard, sort returnables, maintain specific control measures for warehouse breakage.
  • Comply with warehouse rotation and configuration when handling all products.
  • Adhere to the safety codes and regulations as outlined in the company safety manual.
  • Perform housekeeping and sanitation duties throughout the warehouse.
  • When necessary complete all internal control records to conform with inventory control
  • Carry out any special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Education/Experience: Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language: Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
  • Math Ability: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme cold (non-weather). The employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and work in high, precarious places.
