    The Material Handler supports biologics manufacturing operations by providing cross-functional assistance to all manufacturing teams. This role is responsible for executing processes in strict compliance with cGMP requirements, environmental health and safety (EHS) guidelines, and all applicable regulations. Additionally, the Material Handler is expected to maintain adherence to production schedules to ensure that all departments are supplied with the necessary equipment and components to support their operations.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Primary responsibilities are the material handling of materials between the Warehouse and the Manufacturing GMP area such as:
      • Receiving MFG material production kits from the warehouse
      • Removing materials from packaging, disposing of packaging
      • Bleaching in material per SOP
      • Delivery of material to the MFG GMP area
    • Secondary responsibilities, if time permits, would be cross training into Central Services to potentially perform the following:
      • Stocking Gowning
      • Performing Glass Wash Cycles
      • Performing Autoclave Cycles

    Qualifications

    • With high school diploma: 1+ years of related experience required or an associate degree in Life Sciences/Engineering field. Biotech Certificate preferred
    • Able to read and follow detailed written instructions and have good verbal/written communication skills
    • Good computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel
    • Good interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment

    Working Conditions

    • Normal office working conditions: computer, phone, files, fax, copier
    • Personal Protective Equipment must be worn as required
    • May require lifting amounts of 40 lbs
    • Manufacturing operations tasks requires operator to regularly remain on feet for shift
    • Pushing buffer containers ranging from 50L to 200L
    • Sitting for periods of 2 to 3 hours

    Base Pay Range $26/hr - $30/hr
