The Opportunity

Leavitt Machinery is looking for a Rental Delivery Driver to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. As the Rental Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for completing local deliveries to Leavitts service, sales, and rental customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As the Rental Delivery Driver, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Receive inbound requests from the Freight Coordinator
  • Handle documentation relating to equipment transport
  • Load and unload equipment onto transport truck and trailer and transport equipment to and from various locations
  • Instruct customer equipment operators on basic operation
  • Relay relevant customer feedback onto sales and operational contacts
  • Complete rental check-ins and check-outs
  • Fuel and park rental equipment
  • Complete daily vehicle inspections and communicate with the Vehicle Fleet Coordinator regarding maintenance
  • Ensure that all registrations, insurance, and CIVs are up to date

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

  • Completion of high school diploma
  • Valid Class A CDL drivers license and clean drivers abstract
  • Minimum 5 years of driving experience
  • Prior experience operating heavy machinery and/or related industry knowledge is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in parallel
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Required availability: Monday through Friday day shifts
