How to be a rental real estate agent?

To become a rental real estate agent, you typically need to complete required real estate licensing courses and pass a state exam. How much do leasing agents make per lease?

Leasing agents typically earn a commission or fee for each lease they secure, which can range from a flat fee of $50 to $200 or a percentage of the first month's rent, often between 25% and 50%. The exact amount depends on the property management company, location, and the terms of their compensation structure. Some leasing agents also receive a base salary plus bonuses based on performance.

Keeping track of property viewings, tenant communications, lease agreements, and maintenance requests requires strong multitasking skills. Additionally, adapting to the diverse needs and schedules of clients while remaining knowledgeable about local rental markets is crucial. Successful Rental Agents usually rely on property management software and effective communication to stay on top of their responsibilities.
