Job description

Overview Renewable Energy Project Manager for the Substation Practice. The Substation Practice is seeking a Renewable Energy Project Manager to lead the execution of utility-scale wind, solar, and BESS projects throughout the central, southwest, and western United States. The location for this remote/hybrid-friendly position is flexible with a preference for individuals based near one of DEA's offices in California, Colorado, Idaho, Texas, Nevada, Oregon, or Washington.

What You'll Do Exemplify DEA's Cultural Drivers internally and externally Provide leadership and mentoring to project teams Develop the project understanding, approach, and work plan Support proposal efforts for new projects Manage the scope of services, schedule, and budget including project setup, execution, change management, and closeout Manage communications among the project team and client Manage multiple projects at any given time Provide technical expertise during project meetings and to team members Provide technical guidance to clients during development or preconstruction Promote effective team working relationships Attain or exceed project profitability expectations Maintain the technical quality of the work Implement the project QA/QC plan Manage status reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable and unbilled for each project Adhere to firmwide tools, processes, and policies including project accounting, workload planning, revenue forecasting, contracting, and quality requirements Some travel for business development and project execution may be required What You Bring Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in civil/electrical engineering OR 10+ years professional experience in the power delivery or renewable energy Professional Engineer license (PE) Five (5) + years of applicable industry experience Highly technical understanding of substation, transmission, and collection system design, construction, and commissioning Thorough knowledge of and how to use SEL AcSELarator Quickset/RTAC, GE Enervista, eTAP, Easypower, CDEGS, Bluebeam Revu, GE PSLF, Siemens PSS/E, PASCAD, CYMCAP Demonstrated proficiency with project management processes and tools including CPM scheduling, budget analysis and controls, change management, and team management Proficient with Microsoft Office Strong leadership, written and oral communication, and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Three (3) + years of project management experience Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) Experience negotiating contracts for professional services Experience delivering professional services for renewable energy owners, developers, or contractors Experience with ISO interconnection process Experience with AHJ permitting process What We Offer We foster an environment where talented professionals have the freedom and support to do their most meaningful work.
