Job Description
As a Field Property Adjuster, you will investigate and evaluate homeowners property claims from start to finish. You will confirm the facts of loss, determine coverage, assess damages, and negotiate settlements within your assigned authority. In this role, you will manage the entire claim lifecycle, including supplements, Additional Living Expense (ALE) claims, contents, and personal property losses. You will work closely with customers, contractors, and other partners to ensure claims are handled accurately and efficiently.
A key part of this position is delivering excellent customer service through clear, timely communication, keeping customers informed and supported throughout the claims process.
We are seeking an experienced Field Property Adjuster located in preferably in the central or eastern parts of Massachusetts either. With proficiency in Xactimate and a strong foundation in claims handling, including supplements, ALE, contents and full claim ownership. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, a proactive approach, excellent customer service, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. Experience handling claims in both field and desk settings is strongly preferred. Holds an active adjuster license or possess a license that qualifies for reciprocity in the applicable states is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
• Exhibits mastery estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on the most complex 1st party homeowner losses of all severities
• Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers
• Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files
• Applies mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company and assists leadership in formal and ad hoc training
• Recommends process improvements

• This job does not have supervisory duties.

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role may include additional components, such as incentive pay (for example, commission or bonus), if applicable.

Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team.
