Job Title: Part-Time Grant Writer

Location (city, state): 100% Remote (Preference for Eastern Time Zone Candidates)

Assignment Type: Contract | Ongoing, Open-Ended

Pay: $28/hr - $32/hr (depending on experience)


Work Schedule:

Part-time | Approximately 10โ€“20 hours per week

Core business hours are 9:00 AM โ€“ 5:00 PM ET, with flexibility in a results-oriented environment

Job Description:

Addison Group is partnering with our client to identify a skilled Part-Time Grant Writer to support ongoing fundraising and development initiatives. This individual will play a key role in securing funding through persuasive grant proposals and strategic prospect research. The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator with a passion for mission-driven work and experience navigating both private and public funding opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:

โ€ข Create and submit persuasive grant proposals, funding requests, and letters of inquiry to foundations, government entities, and corporate sponsors

โ€ข Partner with internal stakeholders to gather program details, budget information, and measurable outcomes for applications and reports

โ€ข Customize grant submissions to align with each funderโ€™s priorities, application criteria, and tone

โ€ข Write compelling narratives that clearly communicate organizational impact and funding needs

โ€ข Research and evaluate prospective funding opportunities that align with organizational initiatives

โ€ข Track grant deadlines, submission timelines, and active funding opportunities

โ€ข Monitor trends and opportunities related to psychology, mental health, education, and behavioral sciences

โ€ข Prepare grant reports and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with funder requirements

โ€ข Maintain organized records and assist with updates within grant management and donor tracking systems


Qualifications:

โ€ข 3โ€“5+ years of professional grant writing experience, ideally within nonprofit, research, healthcare, education, or mission-driven organizations

โ€ข Experience pursuing funding through federal agencies and private foundations preferred

โ€ข Strong written communication, editing, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail

โ€ข Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams

โ€ข Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace

โ€ข Familiarity with grant management or donor database platforms such as Submittable, Fluxx, or Salesforce NPSP is a plus

โ€ข Associate degree required; Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
