Oracle PPM/Grants Report Writer

Job Summary

Next Generation, Inc., an HR Path company, is seeking an experienced Oracle PPM/Grants Report Writer to support reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making within Oracle Fusion Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and Grants Management environments. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing operational, financial, project, and grants-related reports and dashboards to support business stakeholders, project managers, finance teams, and executive leadership.

The ideal candidate will possess strong Oracle Fusion reporting experience, an understanding of PPM and Grants business processes, and the ability to translate complex reporting requirements into meaningful and actionable insights. This role will work closely with functional and technical teams to ensure reporting solutions support organizational objectives and compliance requirements.

This role is hybrid in Alexandria, VA.

Job Responsibilities
  • Gather and analyze reporting requirements from business stakeholders, project teams, finance staff, and grants administrators
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data extracts within Oracle Fusion PPM and Grants Management
  • Create and support BI Publisher, OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence), and Oracle Fusion reporting solutions
  • Develop ad hoc, operational, financial, compliance, and executive-level reports
  • Build and maintain reporting documentation, data dictionaries, and technical specifications
  • Validate report accuracy and perform data reconciliation between Oracle Fusion and external systems
  • Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, and system administrators to troubleshoot reporting issues
  • Support project accounting, project costing, billing, contract management, and grants reporting requirements
  • Analyze large datasets and identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with organizational reporting standards
  • Participate in system testing, upgrades, enhancements, and report validation activities
  • Develop automated reporting solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
  • Provide end-user support, training, and knowledge transfer for reporting tools and capabilities
  • Assist with audit requests and compliance reporting requirements
  • Recommend reporting best practices and continuous improvement opportunities
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field
  • 37 years of experience developing reports and analytics solutions within Oracle environments
  • Experience supporting Oracle Fusion Cloud PPM (Project Portfolio Management) and/or Oracle Grants Management
  • Strong experience with Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI)
  • Experience developing and maintaining BI Publisher reports
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion data structures, subject areas, and reporting tools
  • Understanding of project accounting, project costing, grants administration, budgeting, and financial management processes
  • Experience writing and troubleshooting SQL queries
  • Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into reporting solutions
  • Experience performing data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Office Suite skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple reporting requests and competing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional business and technical teams
  • Oracle Cloud reporting certifications are a plus
