Job description

Description

As a UX Content Writer, you craft and deliver end-to-end product messaging across user flows, ensuring all user-facing content—from primary actions to edge cases and error states—is clear, consistent, and production-ready.

You work within established content strategy and design system guidelines to produce high-quality UX content across features and products, with a strong emphasis on completeness, clarity, and usability. This is a highly collaborative, delivery-focused role requiring close partnership with UX design, product, and engineering teams to meet sprint timelines and ensure seamless implementation.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End UX Writing

• Write content for complete user journeys, including primary flows, edge cases, empty states, and error/validation messaging

• Ensure all flows are fully resolved with no gaps or undefined content

• Deliver production-ready content within sprint timelines

• Maintain alignment with design system standards and content guidelines

Error & System Messaging

• Own creation of error states, validation messaging, and system feedback

• Ensure messaging clearly communicates what happened, why (as appropriate), and what the user should do next

• Collaborate with designers to refine error experiences

• Partner with content strategy for review and quality

Cross-Product Consistency

• Partner with product, design, and engineering to identify content needs early

• Proactively identify and resolve messaging gaps

• Ensure consistency in terminology, tone, and patterns across products

• Adapt content while maintaining shared standards

Documentation & Handoff

• Document UX content for design specs, developer handoff, and reuse

• Maintain up-to-date records of flows, messaging patterns, and error states

• Ensure content is clear and easy to implement

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with UX designers, product managers, and engineers

• Participate in sprint planning and ceremonies

• Manage workload across concurrent projects

Skills

• UX writing and microcopy

• Content strategy execution

• Editing and quality control

• Digital product writing

• Strong written communication

Additional Qualifications

• Experience writing error handling and system messaging

• Ability to balance speed and quality in agile environments

• Strong attention to detail and consistency

• Experience with design systems and content guidelines

• Track record of delivering production-ready content with minimal rework

Success Measures

• Flows completed on time within sprint cycles

• No missing or unclear messaging at handoff

• Minimal revisions needed after review

• Strong cross-team alignment and execution
