Remote Working information

What is remote working?

A remote working job is a position that allows employees to perform their duties from a location outside of a traditional office, typically from home or another remote setting. This setup relies on digital communication tools such as email, video conferencing, and collaboration software to stay connected with teams. Remote work offers flexibility in terms of location and often working hours, depending on the employer's policies. It can be full-time, part-time, or freelance, depending on the job and industry. Many companies have adopted remote work to improve work-life balance and access global talent.

What can I expect from the team culture and communication style in fully remote roles?

In fully remote roles, team communication often relies on messaging apps, video calls, and project management platforms to keep everyone connected and aligned. You can expect a culture that values proactive updates, regular check-ins, and clear documentation to ensure transparency and accountability. Many remote teams foster a collaborative environment through virtual meetings, online social events, and shared digital spaces for informal chats. While flexibility is a key benefit, strong communication skills and self-motivation are crucial to staying engaged and contributing to team goals.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in remote working, and why are they important?

To thrive in a remote working role, strong self-discipline, time management, and proficiency in digital collaboration platforms are essential, typically supported by experience in a relevant field. Familiarity with tools such as Zoom, Slack, project management software (like Asana or Trello), and secure VPNs is often required. Excellent written communication, adaptability, and the ability to work independently are standout soft skills in this environment. These qualities enable productivity and effective team contribution regardless of location, which is critical to remote work success.

We are dedicated to creating an environment where every employee can thrive and contribute authentically to our mission.
Our services encompass a wide range of support mechanisms for children, especially those aged 0 to 3, through various federal and state programs, ensuring they transition into capable and well-rounded individuals.

Work Environment

This position offers a remote working arrangement, allowing you to carry out your responsibilities from the comfort of your home while still engaging with a supportive team dedicated to children's welfare. As a member of our school-based program, you will collaborate with educators, families, and specialists to deliver customized interventions that align with each child's unique needs, utilizing technology to connect and communicate effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include the following:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of children's developmental needs, utilizing tools and methodologies that capture their unique circumstances.
  • Participate actively in the development and implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP), providing input on strategic interventions tailored to each child's growth trajectory.
  • Monitor and document outcomes as an integral team member, adapting strategies based on real-time observations and progress noted in development.
  • Provide families with resources, skills, and emotional support, empowering them to foster their child's developmental milestones outside of formal services.
  • Adhere to all federal and state regulations, ensuring compliance while delivering high-quality care to clients.
  • Use evidence-based practices and Natural Learning Environment Practices to design joint plans with families, ensuring empowerment and inclusion in all aspects of their childโ€™s care.
  • Engage in coaching methodologies, promoting natural environment teaching to instill confidence in families regarding their child's learning process.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to foster a holistic approach in addressing the childโ€™s needs, ensuring a well-rounded support system.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be children aged birth to three years who demonstrate disabilities or delays in critical developmental areas, including physical, cognitive, social/emotional, and communication skills. This role involves building rapport with families and children to create a trusting atmosphere conducive to learning and growth, emphasizing the importance of the familyโ€™s involvement in the developmental process.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, candidates must fulfill the following qualifications:

  • Possess a Masterโ€™s Degree or Doctorate in Social Work.
  • Hold a current license granted by the Department of Public Health, with a valid LCSW designation.
  • Be equipped with a valid driver's license for potential field visits.
  • Demonstrate confidence in adapting methodologies to cater to various learning styles specific to young children.
  • Exhibit exceptional organization and time management skills to balance caseloads effectively.
  • Show strong communication capabilities, both written and verbal, to convey complex information clearly to families and team members.
  • Practice respect and collaboration in engaging with team members, embodying a commitment to teamwork.
Preferred Experience

While a year of experience in early intervention with children is required, the following will be advantageous:

  • Experience in applying Natural Learning Environment Practices in therapeutic settings.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, enhancing communication with diverse families.
  • A proven track record in a similar role, collaborating within child development frameworks.
