Position Summary:

The Director of Strategic Advisors (DSA) leads a team of business development professionals dedicated to identifying, pursuing, and securing new client relationships that drive revenue growth. The DSA is a strategic sales leader with exceptional relationship-building skills, C-suite contacts, a deep understanding of consultative business development, and a passion for creating new opportunities. This role is responsible for establishing the vision, strategy, and execution of the organization's new business development efforts, ensuring a strong sales pipeline, expanding market presence, and achieving revenue growth targets.


Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Develop and implement strategies to generate new business opportunities and expand Engage fi's client portfolio.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of business development professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve team and company goals.
  • Establish performance metrics, sales objectives, and pipeline expectations for the team, and regularly review progress.
  • Develop strategic territory and account plans to maximize market penetration and revenue growth.

New Business Development:

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue prospective clients through proactive outreach, networking, referrals, industry events, and strategic partnerships.
  • Build and maintain relationships with executive decision-makers and key stakeholders at prospective client organizations.
  • Lead complex sales opportunities from initial engagement through contract execution.
  • Act as a senior sales resource for high-value opportunities and executive-level presentations.
  • Ensure a consistent, consultative sales approach across the business development team.

Sales Strategy and Market Growth:

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Consulting Services, and Strategic Services teams to align go-to-market strategies and support lead generation efforts.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and client needs to identify emerging opportunities and new markets.
  • Provide market intelligence and client feedback to leadership to influence service offerings and future business initiatives.
  • Develop strategies to increase brand awareness and strengthen Engage fi's position within the financial services industry

Team Development:

  • Recruit, train, and develop business development team members, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance sales culture.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive coaching, and support professional development.
  • Encourage innovation, knowledge sharing, and adoption of sales best practices.
  • Promote a culture focused on relationship-building, consultative selling, and continuous improvement.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and present regular reports on pipeline health, sales activity, revenue forecasting, win rates, and other key performance indicators to senior leadership.
  • Utilize CRM data and analytics to evaluate sales performance, forecast revenue, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive activity to keep the team informed and positioned for success.

Requirements

  • Experience using CRM platforms and sales pipeline management tools.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, sales leadership, or a related field, with a proven track record of managing teams and driving revenue growth through new client acquisition.
  • Experience in the banking industry, with preference given to sales related to payments, core banking, digital banking, or financial technology solutions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
