Director of Training & Development

The Director of Training & Development leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organizationโ€™s workforce development and training initiatives across field and operational teams. This individual plays a critical role in building scalable training infrastructure that supports operational consistency, employee development, leadership growth, safety, quality, and long-term workforce retention.


This role partners closely with leadership, operations leaders, field personnel, and subject matter experts to identify skill gaps, standardize best practices, and develop structured learning programs that strengthen both technical and leadership capabilities across the organization.


The ideal candidate understands how to translate operational realities into practical, measurable training systems that improve performance in the field and support the companyโ€™s continued growth.


Education, Experience and Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in training, workforce development, operations leadership, organizational development, or related leadership roles.
  • Experience working within construction, skilled trades, or operationally driven environments strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement scalable training programs, leadership development initiatives, and workforce development strategies.
  • Strong operational credibility with the ability to collaborate effectively with field personnel, operational leaders, and executive leadership teams.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, organizational, and project management skills.


Additional Preferred Experience

  • Experience developing technical training, apprenticeship, or craft development programs.
  • Background in operational leadership, field management, or technical workforce environments.
  • Experience implementing LMS platforms, training systems, or competency tracking programs.
  • Familiarity with safety, quality, and compliance-driven training initiatives.
  • Experience supporting organizational growth, operational standardization, or multi-location workforce development efforts.
