As a remote Mental Health Counselor, you will conduct therapy sessions through telehealth platforms, allowing you to connect with clients across Jersey City, New Jersey, and potentially beyond. We utilize a state-of-the-art therapy dashboard that functions as your private online office, facilitating live sessions via video chat and text messaging. This modern approach to therapy not only streamlines the workflow but also enhances the client experience.

In your role as a Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Counseling clients individually through video sessions aimed at improving their overall mental health and emotional well-being.
• Encouraging open discussions about emotions and personal experiences to aid clients in gaining insights into themselves and their relationships.
• Acting as a client advocate, helping them to define realistic therapeutic goals and navigate their healing journey.
• Evaluating clients' mental health statuses, and developing and implementing personalized treatment plans utilizing solution-focused methodologies grounded in your clinical expertise.

You will work primarily with a demographic of stable adults exhibiting low acuity concerns. All clients are thoroughly screened to ensure that they align with your therapeutic specialties, as well as your demographic preferences. This approach allows you to engage with clients who are ready and motivated for positive change, without the complexities that often accompany severe mental health cases.

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A completed Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Full licensure as a mental health professional in good standing, with the ability to practice independently in New Jersey, specifically as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW. Note that we do not accept limited or provisional licenses.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature are essential for effectively engaging with clients.
• Proficiency in computer systems and digital tools for telehealth delivery.

While a minimum of two years of prior counseling experience is required, applicants with extensive backgrounds in specific therapeutic techniques or populations will be favored. Experience in telehealth counseling is also a plus, as it enables smoother acclimatization to our remote workflow.

Compensation is competitive, ranging from USD 90,000 to 104,000 annually, depending on the number of working hours. In addition to a robust salary structure, we offer:
