Job description

Position: ServiceNow Developer - Software Asset Management & Workday Integration
Location: REMOTE
Duration: 6 months+
Summary:
ServiceNow Developer with specialized experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) implementation and Workday integration. This role is crucial in driving digital transformation and operational excellence across the organization, ensuring that asset management and HR processes are seamlessly automated, optimized, and efficiently managed. The ideal candidate possesses a keen understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities, has hands-on experience with SAM implementation, and is adept at integrating Workday data and processes into ServiceNow.
Responsibilities:
- ServiceNow Development and Customization:
  • Design, develop, and implement solutions on the ServiceNow platform to support business needs, with a focus on Software Asset Management (SAM) and Workday integration.
  • Customize ServiceNow applications, develop workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and data integrations.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Maintain and enhance current ServiceNow functionality, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Software Asset Management (SAM) Implementation:
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end implementation of ServiceNow SAM module, including discovery, normalization, reconciliation, compliance, and optimization.
  • Configure SAM features to track software usage, license compliance, entitlements, contracts, and procurement processes.
  • Integrate SAM data with other ITSM/ITOM modules for holistic asset lifecycle management.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide actionable insight into software inventory, usage trends, and compliance status.
  • Collaborate with procurement, compliance, and IT teams to ensure alignment of asset management goals with company policies.
- Workday Integration:
  • Design and implement robust integrations between ServiceNow and Workday, leveraging APIs, web services, and middleware as appropriate.
  • Automate HR and IT workflows by synchronizing employee data, onboarding/offboarding processes, and organizational structures between Workday and ServiceNow.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration processes for accuracy, reliability, and performance.
  • Document integration designs, mappings, and procedures for stakeholders and support teams.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and administering ServiceNow, with proven expertise in SAM and Workday integrations.
  • Demonstrated experience with the implementation and configuration of ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) module.
  • Strong working knowledge of Workday HCM and its API/web services for integration.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide scripting, REST/SOAP APIs, and data transformation methods within ServiceNow.
  • Experience with data migration, ETL processes, and third-party integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, etc.) is desirable.
  • Understanding of software licensing models, audit requirements, and compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working within a Scrum or Kanban team.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Software Asset Management (SAM) certifications preferred.
  • Workday integration certification or equivalent experience is an asset.
