What is remote work?

Remote work refers to a work arrangement where employees perform their job duties outside of a traditional office environment, often from home or another location of their choice. This setup leverages digital technology to communicate and collaborate with coworkers and clients. Remote work offers flexibility in terms of work location and sometimes hours, making it a popular option for both employers and employees. It can increase productivity, improve work-life balance, and reduce commuting time and costs. However, it also requires discipline, good communication skills, and reliable internet access.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in remote work?

To thrive in remote work, you need strong self-management, time management, and digital literacy skills, along with relevant qualifications for your specific job role. Familiarity with collaboration tools like Slack, Zoom, Trello, and cloud-based document platforms is typically required.
