Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to determine clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, ensuring accurate documentation from onset through treatment completion.
  • Develop and implement customized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, or groups.
  • Facilitate engaging and effective individual and group therapy sessions, employing techniques relevant to diverse therapeutic models.
  • Monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect changing needs and challenges.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals—including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses—to formulate cohesive intervention strategies.
  • Manage client referrals and ensure continuity of care for clients requiring additional services or inpatient treatment.
  • Recognize and address barriers to recovery, providing guidance to clients and their families to navigate mental health challenges.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve working with clients confronting a range of mental health issues, from anxiety and depression to more complex psychological conditions. You will be instrumental in creating safe and supportive environments for individuals from various backgrounds, ensuring that the therapeutic process is personalized and effective. Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.
  • A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Proven experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating the ability to manage diverse client cases with sensitivity and efficacy.
