Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic team at the Recovery Services Center, located remotely from Waterbury, Connecticut. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for providing exceptional mental health support and therapy to individuals and families. Your expertise will be vital in fostering emotional well-being and personal growth among our diverse client base.

About the Organization

The Recovery Services Center is committed to making mental health services accessible to those in need. We specialize in delivering innovative and evidence-based therapeutic programs aimed at various mental health challenges. Our team of caring professionals is devoted to creating a supportive environment where clients feel valued and understood. By utilizing a compassionate, client-focused approach, we aim to empower individuals to overcome their personal hurdles and enhance their overall quality of life.

Work Environment

Operating in a remote work setting, our counselors enjoy the flexibility of working from home while contributing to our outpatient services. This model allows for a balanced work-life schedule while remaining committed to providing quality care. Our virtual infrastructure is designed to meet the needs of both clients and staff, supporting streamlined communication and efficient therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized counseling and therapeutic strategies tailored to each client's unique needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify mental health challenges and develop treatment plans.
  • Facilitate evidence-based therapeutic sessions for individuals, couples, families, and groups, employing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, and psychodynamic therapy.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans that enhance client outcomes.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in workshops to remain current with mental health advancements.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus on supporting a variety of clients, including individuals experiencing mental health disorders, families facing relational challenges, and those dealing with trauma or substance misuse. Your personal approach and therapeutic skills will play a critical role in helping clients navigate their struggles, providing them with the tools necessary for recovery and emotional stability.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Possession of an active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional counseling experience in a clinical setting is necessary.
  • Strong understanding of legal and ethical practices in counseling.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with various client demographics.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a healthcare team.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and other related technologies.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance abuse counseling is highly desirable.
  • Experience in delivering telehealth services to clients is a plus, given the remote nature of our work environment.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary in the range of USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload availability. In addition to your salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Access to dental, vision, and health insurance to ensure your well-being.
  • Provision of malpractice insurance for peace of mind in your practice.
  • Support with client referrals to enhance your caseload.
  • Assistance with billing and documentation, reducing your administrative burden and allowing you to focus on client care.
  • A significant sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates upon joining our team.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Recovery Services Center, we believe in the continuous professional development of our team members. You will have access to various training programs, workshops, and peer supervision that foster your growth as a mental health professional. Opportunities for advancement and specialization in areas of interest can lead to enhanced responsibilities and increased compensation over time.

Why Join Our Team

Selecting Recovery Services Center means integrating into a team that is dedicated to collaboration and support. You will play a critical role in transforming lives through therapeutic practices. We pride ourselves on an encouraging work culture, flexibility, and a commitment to work-life balance, making this an ideal environment for both personal and professional growth.
