Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments to develop personalized treatment plans based on individual client needs and goals.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups, using methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate holistic client care, participating in case reviews and team meetings.
• Engage in continuous learning through professional development workshops and training, staying current with advancements in mental health research.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The counselors at Recovery Services Center will support a diverse clientele, including individuals and families from various backgrounds dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and other mental health issues. By fostering a safe and supportive therapeutic environment, you will empower clients to navigate their challenges and establish meaningful progress toward their personal goals.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia.
• At least two years of experience, preferably in a clinical setting, providing direct counseling services.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards governing mental health practice.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect empathetically with a wide range of clients.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team environment.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and telehealth technologies to enhance client interaction and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse counseling, or trauma recovery.
• Experience in crisis intervention and working with high-risk populations is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload.
