Job description

This is a remote position.

Remote Licensed Therapist (LCSW) – Contract – PA

Position Type: Contract

Pay: $70 to $85 Per hour

Schedule: Around 20 hours a week, although those hours are subject to change based on patient volume
Duration: 6+ months
Location: 100% remote / work from home
Must have active Pennsylvania LCSW license required and must be able to bill Medicare

MASC Medical is hiring a contract, fully remote therapist licensed in Pennsylvania on behalf of our client — a fast-growing, virtual-first behavioral health organization. You'll provide telehealth therapy to adults with serious mental illness (SMI), substance use disorders, and dementia — including older adults — as part of a multidisciplinary care team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, community health workers, and medical assistants delivering wrap-around outpatient care that keeps patients out of the hospital.

What you'll do

  • Provide virtual psychosocial assessments and individual psychotherapy through a telehealth platform (audio-only sessions as backup when patients can't access video)

  • Deliver time-framed, goal-focused, skill-based therapy using evidence-based approaches: CBT, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and behavioral activation

  • Lead and facilitate group therapy and support groups

  • Provide support and advocacy to caregivers and family members of patients with dementia and SMI

  • Document treatment response and monitor clinical symptoms in the EMR

  • Collaborate in daily team huddles; identify social determinants of health needs the care team will work to resolve

What you'll need

  • Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania LCSW license

  • Must be able to bill Medicare

  • Experience conducting psychotherapy via telehealth

  • Experience screening, assessing, and treatment-planning for common mental health and/or substance use disorders

  • Working knowledge of evidence-based brief behavioral interventions (motivational interviewing, problem-solving treatment, behavioral activation)

  • A confidential home workspace and reliable internet (computer provided)

Pay & benefits

  • $70 to $85 Per hour

  • Weekly payroll and direct deposit

  • Malpractice insurance covered

  • Company-provided computer and equipment
