Jack Morton Worldwide is looking for a Strategy Director (experiential/events). You will serve as a key partner to the Account Director and other principal leads, focusing on the leadership, growth, and delivery of key B2C accounts, with a particular focus on vision, strategy, and innovation.

Acting as a senior business advisor to clients, you will drive the strategic planning process to deliver on clients' efforts to launch, align, engage and build their brand, and may be directly responsible for the Ideas component -as we say, the "Ideas Lead"- of the work.

You will be expected to push the envelope to inspire the development of new and big ideas, and manage an integrated team of strategists, creative directors, and producers at certain stages of the process.

The Strategy Director is accountable for strategy as well as the integrity and fitness of ideas, from start to execution, on all retained and project work for the client.

What you'll be doing:

Help Drive Revenue

  • Provide sought-after expertise in integrated comms strategies, as well as generally across one or more of our delivery platforms: launch, align, engage and build (with understanding and competence in all)
  • Build brands and business for the account by proactively bringing new ideas forward to the client and to JM teams
  • Owns strategy development and often has responsibility for the Ideas component, throughout pitches or on ongoing work, to deliver compelling strategic stories that will sell internally and be successful externally

Extract Fresh Insights

  • Monitors and understands key trends and leading practices, and combines with own expertise to innovate, adapt, and push new ideas for the client.
  • Lead strategic design from both quantitative and qualitative approaches to drive a creative foundation, big ideas and brand growth
  • Turn data and information into original brand stories and comms strategies that excite clients and deliver brand results
  • Identify new sources of information that provide teams with trends, market analysis and relevant points of view that will enhance our ability to meet client needs

Communicate Ideas

  • Lead the development of a creative brief, articulating key insights and a clear point of view
  • Command a presence with senior clients, successfully influencing them to think big, helping them sell strategic and creative work internally,
  • Create white papers and participate in speaking engagements to elevate Jack Morton's visibility in the marketplace

Build Effective Relationships

  • Collaborate with creative and account teams to ensure effective connections through all agency disciplines relative to client work
  • Serve as a trusted advisor at senior levels internally and externally
  • Participate in the hiring of new team members to build the strategy teams capabilities

What we're looking for:

  • 8+ years in a strategic role in a creative agency or management consulting environment
  • Experience with business, brand, and experience/environmental strategy, as well as with strategy and delivery of global C-level B2B and B2C brand experiences 
  • Boardroom-ready presentation presence and skills
  • 8+ years strategic experience developing insights, identifying cultural trends, and inspiring big ideas that travel across channels
  • Ability to collect, read, analyze, interpret & synthesis information from a variety of sources and develop strategic insights and points of view
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstration of key competencies: accountability for results, client focus, team effectiveness, developing others, creative thinking
  • Passion or experience in women's sports a plus
