Position Overview

The Still Point is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our remote outpatient team in Visalia, California. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality clinical services to a diverse clientele, working collaboratively to support individuals, couples, and families as they navigate their emotional and relational challenges.

About the Organization

The Still Point is a growing outpatient mental health practice committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for both our clients and staff. We prioritize ethical excellence, professional development, and the authentic practice of therapy. Our mission is to empower clients to lead healthier lives, enhancing their connections with themselves and others. As we expand our reach, we are excited to welcome professionals who share our vision of holistic healing through therapy.

Work Environment

This position offers flexibility through a remote work setting, allowing you to engage clients from the comfort of your home while utilizing telehealth platforms. Our practice operates from Monday to Friday, with standard hours from 9 AM to 5 PM. You will be a part of a team-oriented culture that encourages collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning, ensuring that you have the support needed to flourish in your role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to understand clients' needs and establish individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families, applying modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Document progress notes and treatment plans meticulously while adhering to California laws and insurance regulations to maintain compliance.
  • Engage in collaborative care by partnering with fellow clinicians and support staff to provide comprehensive treatment and support to clients.
  • Participate in case consultations, clinical supervision, and staff training sessions to continue growing professionally and enhancing service delivery.
  • Maintain a high standard of ethical practice and client confidentiality following HIPAA and BBS guidelines, ensuring clients feel safe and supported.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as an LMFT, you will serve a varied population, including individuals from BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities, and those who are neurodivergent. Our clients come to us dealing with a wide array of issues, from trauma and depression to relationship conflicts and behavioral challenges. You will utilize culturally sensitive approaches to foster trust and understanding with your clients, ensuring that each session is tailored to their unique experiences and needs.

Qualifications
  • A valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California, in good standing.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience; however, associate-level candidates may be considered in certain circumstances.
  • Strong clinical skills in evidence-based modalities, particularly those relevant to trauma and relationship issues.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and virtual therapy platforms such as SimplePractice and Zoom.
  • Experience working with a range of diverse populations is essential; bilingual candidates (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Farsi) are particularly encouraged to apply.
Preferred Experience
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care approaches and interventions that have proven effective for individuals, couples, and families.
  • Experience managing varied client needs and adapting therapeutic techniques to suit individual circumstances.
  • A background in community mental health settings or group practices, demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively within a team structure.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options.
  • Generous paid time off and holidays to promote work-life balance.
  • Malpractice insurance coverage for peace of mind as you practice.
  • Access to clinical supervision and training as needed to support your professional growth.
  • Retirement savings plan to help you plan for your future.
Career Growth Opportunities

We believe in nurturing talent and providing avenues for career advancement. As part of our team, you will have opportunities to grow into leadership roles, participate in specialized training sessions, and further develop your clinical expertise through our supportive learning environment. We encourage our therapists to pursue their professional interests, offering pathways for specialization and a route to influence the direction of our practice.

Why Join Our Team
