Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients during initial consultations to develop tailored therapeutic strategies aimed at addressing their unique mental health needs.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions through individual, group, family, and couple therapy sessions, using approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and client records while adhering to legal and ethical standards to ensure patient confidentiality and quality of care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including case managers and other healthcare professionals, to formulate integrated treatment plans and provide holistic support to clients.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops, webinars, and training sessions to stay updated on the latest developments in mental health treatment and research.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Family First Wellness focuses on serving individuals and families who may have limited access to traditional mental health services. Our clients often present a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your role will be pivotal in identifying and addressing these issues, ultimately significantly improving the lives of our clients and contributing to their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Must possess an active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure in the state of Connecticut.
• A minimum of two years of professional counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting, is essential.
• Demonstrated expertise in specialized areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, and trauma-informed care is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards governing mental health practices.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team and demonstrate flexibility in your approach to patient care.
• Proficiency in EMR software and a strong aptitude for utilizing technology in clinical settings.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in treating substance misuse and trauma is preferred.
• Experience with telehealth platforms and remote counseling methodologies is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload availability. In addition to a substantial salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
