Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Focus Renew, you will be expected to:

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand clients' issues and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Provide effective individual counseling sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to meet client needs.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to support clients in overcoming challenges, fostering personal growth, and achieving their therapeutic goals.
• Document progress and interventions meticulously in our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring continuity of care and compliance with state regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to devise cohesive care strategies for clients facing complex issues.
• Engage in continuous professional development, attending workshops and training sessions on the latest in mental health practices.
• Actively participate in team meetings to discuss caseload, share insights, and enhance care quality.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client demographic is diverse, and the ideal candidate should be prepared to work with individuals from various backgrounds and life experiences. You will encounter clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and other mental health challenges. Understanding and empathizing with each client's unique story is crucial. Your role will directly contribute to their healing process as you guide them toward effective coping mechanisms and positive life changes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent in Pennsylvania.
• At least 3 years of experience providing mental health counseling in a professional setting.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, allowing for effective client interaction and documentation.
• Strong understanding of therapeutic frameworks, healthcare regulations, and community resources available for client support.

Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to applicants who have experience in:

• Crisis intervention and management.
• Implementation of specialized therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Working within a community health setting or with underserved populations.

Compensation and Benefits
