Western Mind Care Hub is seeking a dedicated Bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our innovative team in providing vital therapeutic support to children facing developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. This full-time, remote position offers the unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of youths and their families through targeted therapeutic services, including in-home and outpatient therapy options.

About the Organization

At Western Mind Care Hub, we are committed to delivering comprehensive youth and family support services. Our mission is to empower primary caregivers and enhance the quality of life for children and teens with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Our skilled professionals are driven by the goal of fostering resilience and promoting positive behavioral outcomes through collaborative and family-centered approaches. Our clinic serves the Tampa area and extends throughout Florida, ensuring that our services are as accessible as possible to the families that need them most.

Work Environment

This position allows for a flexible remote work setting, helping you to strike a balance between your professional responsibilities and personal life. You will primarily provide therapy virtually or in home settings and occasionally engage with clients in our community health clinic. Our team values ongoing communication and support, with regular meetings aimed at enhancing treatment methodologies and sharing insights on patient progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individualized in-home therapy sessions or group therapy sessions at our outpatient center to address the unique therapeutic needs of each child.
  • Facilitate anger management and coping strategies while teaching essential social skills to diminish high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behavior (SIB) and aggression.
  • Work closely with caregivers to strengthen their skills in making effective decisions and managing behavioral challenges in home environments.
  • Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team, which includes various disciplines aimed at providing comprehensive support to families.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of therapy sessions, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, in accordance with our clinic standards.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings to provide insights and recommendations regarding patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with children aged 3-20 and their families, who are navigating the complexities of developmental and intellectual disabilities. This population may exhibit challenges that require nuanced understanding and tailored intervention strategies, making your role integral to fostering positive outcomes and overall well-being for these children and their caregivers.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.
  • An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
  • Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4 PM to 7 PM), with weekend flexibility preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in providing positive behavior support and managing behavioral interventions.
  • A valid driverโ€™s license and a registered vehicle for potential in-home visits.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check that includes fingerprinting.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience working with children with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges is strongly preferred.
  • Experience providing therapy in various settings and employing evidence-based methodologies is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 60,000 to 80,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will benefit from a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • A dynamic and supportive work environment.
  • Access to group health coverage.
  • Annual paid time off for rest and relaxation.
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage for peace of mind.
  • A 401K plan to help you save for retirement.
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and advance your career.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Western Mind Care Hub, we prioritize your professional growth. You will have access to ongoing training sessions and the chance to attend workshops relevant to your field. As a valued team member, there are also opportunities for advancement within the organization, as we believe in promoting from within and supporting your career aspirations.

Why Join Our Team

By joining Western Mind Care Hub, you are not just taking a job; you are becoming part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to making a difference in the community. You will work alongside passionate, like-minded professionals within a culture that emphasizes support, collaboration, and commitment to quality care.
