Overview
As a Software Engineer, you'll support Brightstar Lottery’s technology systems that enable secure, high‑volume lottery production and operations. This role contributes to the design, development, testing, and support of internal software applications that power data workflows, production controls, and operational reporting across the manufacturing lifecycle. This position that works closely with senior engineers and cross‑functional teams in a secure, process‑driven environment. The role is remote in support of the Lakeland, Florida facility and typically works up to 8‑hour shifts, based on business and operational needs.
 
What You'll Do
  • Assist with the design, development, testing, and documentation of internal software applications.
  • Support enhancements to tools used for data processing, production tracking, configuration, and reporting.
  • Help identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and application issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow established development and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Information Technology, Production, and Security teams to understand requirements and workflows.
  • Support integrations between applications, databases, and hardware‑enabled systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to software changes and system functionality.
  • Follow security, compliance, and change‑control procedures to protect data integrity and system reliability.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to support operational efficiency.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Foundational understanding of software development principles and debugging practices.
  • Experience with at least one programming language such as C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $39,848 - $103,002. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
