Description
Starting at $75,000 | $3,000 Sign-On Bonus | Hybrid | Flexible Schedule | No On-Call Requirement
Are you an experienced clinician who enjoys developing others-and looking for an opportunity to use your clinical expertise in a leadership role?
Health Affiliates Maine is seeking a Clinical Supervisor for our Behavioral Health Home (BHH) and Case Management programs. This position provides clinical leadership, consultation, and supervision to professionals helping adults and families navigate behavioral health needs, community resources, and complex systems of care.
Rather than carrying a traditional therapy caseload, you'll use your clinical experience to mentor staff, strengthen clinical practice, support sound decision-making, and help teams provide high-quality, person-centered services.
What You'll Do
As a Clinical Supervisor, you will:
- Provide clinical supervision, consultation, coaching, and support to a team of approximately 12 care coordinators (or FTEs) and the BHH team peer support and nurse care manager.
- Help staff navigate complex clinical situations while developing their own judgment, confidence, and professional skills.
- Promote a supportive, accountable team culture where staff feel valued and understand how their work contributes to our mission.
- Serve as a clinical team lead within the Behavioral Health Home, providing clinical consultation and direction to team members.
- Collaborate with program and agency leadership to identify opportunities for improved practice, staff development, and service quality.
- Support staff in meeting clinical documentation, quality, MaineCare, licensing, and contractual requirements.
- Review clinical documentation and provide feedback that supports both compliance and quality practice.
- Participate as an active member of a collaborative clinical leadership team.
Shared Leadership & Support
You won't lead alone. Clinical Supervisors work in partnership with an Administrative Supervisor who provides support with the team's day-to-day administrative and operational needs.
This collaborative supervisory model allows you to maintain a strong focus on clinical consultation, staff development, quality of care, and helping professionals grow in their practice.
Why Consider Leadership at Health Affiliates Maine?
This role may be a great fit if you're ready to use your clinical experience differently.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Develop people, not just manage tasks.
- Work somewhere you're treated like a person, not just a position. Our staff consistently tell us they value HAM's respectful culture and access to support when they need it. We believe strong leadership includes recognizing that people are human first-and creating an environment where you can ask questions, seek consultation, and know you don't have to navigate difficult situations alone.
- Use your clinical expertise without maintaining a traditional therapy caseload.
- Mentor and support professionals doing meaningful community-based behavioral health work.
- Have a voice in program quality, clinical practice, and continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with other clinical and program leaders across the organization.
- Maintain flexibility through hybrid or remote work and flexible scheduling.
- Protect your time outside of work-this position has no after-hours or weekend on-call requirement.
Benefits
Health Affiliates Maine offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
- $3,000 sign-on bonus
- Starting salary of $75,000
- Flexible scheduling
- Hybrid, Remote work options
- Generous, earned benefit time off with increase accruals at milestone years
- Up to 12.5 paid holidays annually
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Short- and long-term disability benefits
- Financial programs such as Dependencies Care Spending Accounts, 401(k) plans, and access to financial advising
- Health and wellness benefits, including multiple medical plan options and employer paid life and disability insurance
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
- Wellness Program
If you're an experienced clinician who finds satisfaction in helping other professionals grow, strengthening services, and creating the conditions for teams to do their best work, we'd love to hear from you.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a master's-level clinician who:
- Holds an independent Maine clinical license; LCSW or LCPC preferred.
- Has at least three years of clinical experience.
- Brings strong clinical judgment and an interest in developing and supporting other professionals.
- Can balance supportive leadership with accountability and quality expectations.
- Values collaboration, professional growth, and person-centered behavioral health care.
- Experience with case management, Behavioral Health Homes, MaineCare, or community behavioral health is valued.
