Zagro Mental and Behavioral Services is seeking a dedicated and flexible Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our innovative team. This role allows for a fully remote working environment, meaning you can provide critical services from the comfort of your own home while still maintaining a strong connection to our team and clients. You will interact with a variety of professionals within our Child Family Treatment Team, forming a well-rounded support system for the children and families we serve.

• Conduct individual therapy sessions and group therapy sessions, which may take place in clients' homes or through virtual platforms.
• Implement strategies focusing on anger management, coping techniques, and social skills development, all aimed at minimizing high-risk behaviors such as self-injury or aggression.
• Work closely with caregivers to enhance their decision-making abilities and provide them with tools to manage in-home behavioral challenges effectively.
• Engage in regular collaboration with the Child Family Treatment Team and other mental health professionals to optimize care plans and treatment strategies for clients.
• Timely documentation of all therapeutic activities, including intake assessments, individualized treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
• Participate in monthly meetings to discuss best practices and provide recommendations to improve service delivery.

You will work primarily with children and teens between the ages of 3 and 20 who present with various developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. These clients often require tailored therapeutic interventions to address behavioral issues and improve their quality of life. As a bilingual therapist, you will have a unique opportunity to connect with Spanish and Portuguese-speaking families, ensuring culturally sensitive and accessible treatment options.

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is mandatory.
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is required to practice.
• Availability is essential, with a minimum commitment of 5–10 hours per week during late afternoon hours (4–7 pm); weekend availability is a significant advantage.
• A valid driver's license and a registered vehicle to facilitate potential in-home visits.
• Successful completion of a comprehensive criminal background check, which includes fingerprinting, to ensure the safety and trust of our vulnerable clientele.

• Experience in providing positive behavior support and interventions tailored to the unique needs of youth and families.
• Demonstrable experience working with children and adolescents, particularly those who are either diagnosed with or show signs of intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD).
